About Zamzam Kitchen
Zamzam Kitchen is a halal Somali restaurant on Racecourse Road in Kensington — a low-key community institution where diners share pots of Somali tea and regulars often skip the menu. Dishes reflect Somalia's Indian Ocean trade and Italian colonial history: sambusas, soft chapati or jabaati, Somali spaghetti, and bariis (aromatic basmati rice) pair with suqaar, lamb shank mandi, and chicken curry. House halwa finishes many meals. Founded in 2008 by executive chef Abdur Rahman Farrah.
