About Us
Yamamoto Udon Izakaya is the Yu family's licensed 150-seat QV spin-off from Bourke Street Yamamoto Udon — a Tokyo-style izakaya on Level 2 of QV Square where handmade Himokawa and Sanuki noodles (fresh daily from the Bourke kitchen) sit alongside 30-plus udon styles, QV-only carbonara, mentaiko cream, tan tan and mapo tofu bowls, plus izakaya share plates from about $6: beef tataki, kingfish crudo, takoyaki, gyoza, tempura, okonomiyaki and robatayaki, with Japanese cocktails around $14 and $11 Suntory pints. iPad ordering sends share plates as they are ready; walk-ins suit smaller groups and larger tables can enquire on (03) 9989 5005. Open lunch and dinner seven days; Mon–Thu with a mid-afternoon break, Fri–Sun until 10pm (June 2026).
