About Us
Chris Lucas's neon-lit Japanese-inspired eating house on level one of 80 Collins — entrance off Collins Street next to Society, marked by the elevated sign. Executive chef Daniel Wilson's Josper-grill menu celebrates fire-cooked yakitori sticks, raw plates, rice bowls and playful izakaya bites: perennial favourite Yaki mixed sashimi, the cult Yaki Hot Dog, Tokyo grilled chicken and roasted king salmon with unagi glaze. The sprawling kitchen bar seats up to 70 with ringside views of flame-fired cooking, Japanese-accented cocktails and sake, an outdoor terrace, and the 14-seat Corner Room for private occasions. Open daily from noon until late; weekday lunch specials and walk-ins welcome alongside SevenRooms bookings. Daily YakiHour (5–6pm) offers $15 flame-kissed snacks and cocktails.
