About Us

Busy self-service udon restaurant on Bourke Street in the CBD — a Tokyo train-station-style tray-line cafeteria where noodles are made fresh on site each day and bowls land on your tray in under a minute. Order from the wall menu (17 hot and cold udon bowls; Ritual pickup from $3.90 kake udon; menueat.net in-store board from about $5.30), curry udon, and donburi rice bowls. Slide your tray past a warming bar of tempura, karaage and tonkatsu add-ons (~$2), then help yourself to free toppings and complimentary green, oolong or roasted-rice tea; limited shared dine-in seating, walk-in only. Standout orders are sukiyaki beef with half-boiled egg udon, curry udon, and teriyaki chicken bowls. No published customer phone — order in-store, via Ritual pickup, or follow @udonyasanmelbourne.
