About Us

Tiba's is a family-run Lebanese institution on Sydney Road in Brunswick, opened in 1983 and still run by brothers Hassan, Salem and Mohamed with their mother Hoda (official About page, June 2026). The black-and-gold cedar-tree storefront leads into a loud, bustling dining room with takeaway salads, charcoal spits and open-flame grills turning out house-made dips, pastries, shawarma and skewered meats. The Brunswick menu spans dips and tabouli, $18 pita wraps, individual mains with rice and bread, and generous set menus such as Tiba's House ($48) and the Management Banquet. The restaurant is alcohol-free and 100% halal certified; phone reservations are recommended on busy nights. Google Maps lists business_status OPERATIONAL (June 2026); AGFG and Uber Eats show active dine-in and delivery. A second branch operates in Roxburgh Park.
