About The South African Shop
Family-run South African specialty grocer and biltong maker at 461 Hawthorn Road, Caulfield South (flagship since 2005; original Templestowe shop from 2001). Imports pantry staples, rusks, chocolates and South African wines while making in-house biltong, boerewors and droëwors. Prepared Portuguese–South African fusion street food is in-store grab-and-go counter takeaway with delivery (no dine-in seating). Separate packaged-biltong mall kiosk outlets at Victorian shopping centres including The Glen and Highpoint. Open 10:00–16:00 daily at Caulfield per official site and Google Maps (Jun 2026).
