About Us
Nicola Dusi (ex Baby Pizza, D.O.C., Chin Chin) and co-owner Andrea Ceriani run this ~65-seat upstairs Italian trattoria on level one of the heritage-listed Hardware House — originally an 1890s social club for hardware trade workers on Hardware Lane. More Studio's fit-out pairs walnut veneer, red-painted beams and olive banquettes with a wine-led list leaning Italian (Masi Verona, skin-contact oranges, local Italian-Australian growers). The Autumn–Winter 2026 à la carte card is deliberately tight: snacks such as cacio e pepe taleggio toastie and tin anchovies, pasta including chilli crab spaghetti and the fiery spaghetti assassina, and secondi like veal cotoletta alla De Luca and roasted marrow bone toast. Set menus ($70–$85pp) and a separate wine PDF sit beside walk-in-friendly bar seats. Lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Tue–Sat (Mon lunch only per Google Maps Jun 2026); live jazz on Wednesdays per Melbourne Insider. Book via SevenRooms; phone (03) 9670 1110.
