About Tèta Mona

Tèta Mona is a Brunswick East Lebanese soul-food restaurant on Lygon Street run by twin brothers Antoine and Charlie Taouk, who learned village recipes from their grandmother Mona in Bcharri, northern Lebanon. The menu is structured as shareable mezza, medium plates and mains — including organic stuffed kousa, kafta with potato, makhlouta hotpot and chilli-baked barramundi — plus per-person banquets from $55. Diners eat in a homely room lined with family portraits or in the bluestone courtyard marquee; the owners host Mona After Dark events and off-site catering. Lebanese wines from Bekaa Valley producers and house-made arak feature on the drinks list. BYO is welcome and the Good Food Guide highlights budget-friendly banquets. Book ahead for peak nights.
