How ratings workAbout Taquito
Taquito — Spanish for little taco — is a Carlton Mexican bar and eatery on Drummond Street co-owned by Mexico City-born Alec Villarreal with head chef Sean Frazer. Every tortilla is pressed in-house from scratch; the seasonal menu runs Oaxacan-inspired cantina snacks, taco flights, rotating ceviche del día, goat quesabirria and lamb barbacoa with pink mole, plus set menus (Taquiza Fiesta $60pp, El Banquete $85pp). Three distinct spaces: sidewalk tables, a light front bar with rare-agave bottleshop, and a cactus-filled downstairs dining room with open kitchen. Drinks lean mezcal- and tequila-forward — Tommy's margaritas, Micheladas, house Bloody Marias, paired agave tastings and alcohol-free tepache and horchata — with craft beer on tap and Allpress coffee. Google Maps lists the venue operational (Jun 2026): Monday–Wednesday midday–10:30pm, Thursday until 11pm, Friday–Saturday until 12:30am; Sunday closed for siesta. Pickup, delivery and bottleshop takeaway until 11pm nightly per the official site.
