About Us
Tan Hotpot (谭鸭血) is the Melbourne outpost of the international Tan Duck Blood Hot Pot chain — its first Australian store, opened on Bourke Street in 2021. The two-level CBD dining room centres on communal Sichuan-style hot pot: guests pick soup bases (including the signature numbing-spicy broth and milder mushroom or tomato options), then cook sliced meats, offal, seafood and vegetables at the table. AGFG calls it Melbourne's only duck-blood hot pot specialist; braised duck blood jelly and Tan's Traditional Spicy Soup are menu anchors, with wagyu slices and late-night promotions drawing regular crowds. A robot can deliver trays when staff are notified, and the DIY sauce bar lets groups tune heat and flavour. EatClub lists active weekday dine-in discounts; Google Maps shows continuous noon–11pm trading with recent guest reviews through December 2025.
