About Us

Supernormal is Andrew McConnell's Trader House all-day restaurant on Flinders Lane, opened in 2014 in the 171 Collins Street development. The glass-fronted room pairs a contemporary Japanese aesthetic — katakana signage, neon accents, zinc-topped bar and open kitchen — with shared-feast menus drawing on Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Counter and bar seats overlook the kitchen; downstairs holds private dining and karaoke. Signatures include the New England lobster roll on brioche, duck bao, dumplings, Szechuan-peppered brisket and the peanut butter parfait, with seasonal lunch ramen and banquet/set menus for groups. Walk-ins are always held back alongside SevenRooms online bookings for parties of 1–14.
