About SOT Dining

SOT Dining is a modern Korean restaurant on Bourke Street in Melbourne CBD, opened in 2024 by co-owner and ex-Nobu chef Doowon Lee under the TCNC group. The concept centres on sot — the traditional iron pot (gamasot) used to cook and serve rice — as a lighter, shared-dining alternative to Korean BBQ. Signature sotbap and bansang set menus pair rice cooked in steel sot with seasonal house-made banchan and soups; à-la-carte covers mulhoe guksu, 24-hour marinated sogalbi, yukhoe and six sot mains with steak, grilled fish or seafood. Group chef's tasting menus (Janchi and Hansang) suit celebrations; the minimalist two-level room blends Korean design with Melbourne's casual dining culture.
