Family-owned since 2007 at South Melbourne Market (Stall 94, Cecil Street), Simply Spanish cooks award-winning paella in big pans on the street — winner of Best Paella Outside of Spain in 2016, 2018 and 2024. Head Chef Leno, a guest judge on MasterChef Australia, runs the kitchen with his son Jake, serving tapas, homemade sangria and Spanish mains for breakfast, lunch and dinner on market and non-market days. The covered dining room and patio sit inside the market bustle; dinner reservations are taken online while lunch is walk-in only. Catering and big-pan paella deliveries extend the brand beyond the stall.
