About Sezar

Sezar is chef Garen Maskal and the Arzadian cousins’ laneway Armenian restaurant and bar in Melbourne Place, off Russell Street between Collins Street and Flinders Lane. Open since 2013 as the KALIAN group’s follow-up to Glen Waverley’s Black Toro, the moody two-level room pairs Mount Ararat–inspired design with charcoal-fired share plates, Levantine spices and inventive cocktails. À la carte runs from brown-butter hummus and lavash to spanner-crab manti, bastourma and a showpiece slow-roasted lamb shoulder; groups of seven or more take curated banquets ($88–$98 per person, including signature baklava). Private dining upstairs seats up to 45. Lunch is served Thursday and Friday from midday; dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm until late. Book via the official widget, call (03) 9663 9882, or email info@sezar.com.au.
