Sal's Authentic New York Pizza is a chain of pizzerias serving 100% New York-style pizza across multiple Melbourne locations including Richmond, the CBD's Exhibition Street, and Flinders Lane. The menu centres on large 18-inch hand-made pies, NY-style slices and half-pies, with classic toppings and signature sides like Buffalo wings, garlic knots, and zeppole. All base ingredients — flour, tomato, mozzarella, and pepperoni — are imported from the US to replicate the original recipe created by Salvatore Leo, who learned his craft in New York in the 1950s. The Richmond location on Swan Street was the first Melbourne outpost.
