About Us
Rice Paper Scissors is a long-running Melbourne hawker-bar brand (since 2013) built around communal South East Asian share plates, house-made sauces and cocktails in a loud, hands-on dining room. The CBD venue trades from 15 Hardware Lane in the foodie strip — relocated from Liverpool Street into the former Rice Paper Sister site (Time Out Melbourne, 2020). EatClub and Apple Maps show the Hardware Lane room actively taking dine-in bookings and reviews through June 2026; the official site still promotes CBD-only express lunch banquets and seasonal set menus. What's On Melbourne and the Hardware Lane page pitch eat-with-your-hands share plates: twice-cooked caramel tamarind sticky pork belly is the house mantra, alongside Thai fried chicken, lobster dumplings and a separate vegan line (tempura eggplant buns, Thai yellow curry). Fitzroy (307 Brunswick St) is a sibling site, not this row. Book via SevenRooms; walk-ins depend on demand.
