About Us
Reed House is a contemporary British-inspired brasserie set within a heritage-listed 1859 bluestone manse on Lonsdale Street in Melbourne's CBD. Founded by ex-Ottolenghi chef Mark Hannell and front-of-house specialist Rebecca Baker, the kitchen reinterprets classic British dishes — Scotch eggs, Welsh rarebit, roast chicken with bread sauce, beef-fat pies and eccles cakes — with modern Australian produce and global flourishes such as saltbush za'atar and Davidson plum. The venue offers lunch and dinner service across two intimate dining rooms, a bar and a heated courtyard, supported by a cocktail program built around British tea punches and a small-producer wine list.
