Oushou — whose name means "craftsman" in Japanese — is a multi-location Japanese restaurant group with five Melbourne venues, including its Hawthorn East location at 205 Camberwell Rd. The menu centres on traditional Japanese dishes: sushi and sashimi boards, tasting menus, tataki, wagyu, gyoza, and a sake and cocktail bar. The kitchen follows a philosophy of artisan rigour, emphasising fresh ingredients and classical technique without heavy seasoning. Dine-in, takeaway, and bar menus are available, with dinner service daily from 17:30.
