About Osteria Ilaria

Luke Skidmore and Andreas Papadakis' modern Italian osteria in the former Scandi Bar Du Nord space at 367 Little Bourke Street — sibling to Tipo 00 Pasta Bar next door, with the same stripped-back dining room (high tables up front, booths and open kitchen at the back). The brief is seasonal share plates and mains rather than pizza or a pasta-heavy card: What's On Melbourne points to whole whiting with pippies and sea herbs, roast corn-fed duck with radicchio and hazelnuts, and a serious bread program including 48-hour fermented sourdough plus gluten-free grain loaf. Sommelier-led global and low-intervention wines and vintage cellar releases anchor the list; exclusive Cellar Series wine dinners run in the private dining room. Reservations via SevenRooms (two-hour sittings; contact eat@osteriailaria.com or (03) 9642 2287 for longer or large groups); walk-ins welcome. Open Monday–Saturday from midday (kitchen till late; directory listings publish close at 10:30pm). Closed Sunday.
