About Us

Old Palm Liquor is a wine bar and restaurant opened in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Simon Denman and Almay Jordaan, the team behind North Fitzroy's Neighbourhood Wine. Set on Lygon Street in Brunswick East, it offers a rotating short menu of shared plates — oysters, grilled seasonal vegetables and mains like raw swordfish with pepita cream — alongside a 300-bottle wine list spanning wines from Japan, natural labels and more. The relaxed, well-worn space with a notable cocktail program makes it suitable for a drink at the bar or a full sit-down meal.
