About MoVida

Frank Camorra’s flagship since 2003 in graffiti-lined Hosier Lane — the venue that sparked Melbourne’s tapas-and-laneway dining culture. MoVida Original pairs a bustling dining room and walk-in bar with seasonal Australian produce rendered as classic tapas, refined raciones and daily specials, house-baked sourdough, and a deep Spanish wine list spanning grenache, tempranillo and sherry. The sample menu rotates croquetas, Cantabrian anchovy on crouton, larger-format lamb and pork raciones, and churros for dessert.

From diners

  • MoVida is one of my favourite Spanish restaurants in Melbourne, and I’ve dined here a few times. My suggested dishes to try: start with the tabla de embutidos for aperitivos, then the zucchini and Manchego croquettes and Galiciana beef tartare for tapas, move on to Calabacín (heirloom pickled and fresh zucchini with stracciatella), Cecina (air-dried wagyu with truffled potato foam and poached egg) and Cerdo (slow-roasted pig masks) for raciones, and finish with the flan for postre.
