About Marmara

Family-run Windsor institution since 1980 and one of Australia's longest-standing Turkish restaurants, Marmara occupies a warm licensed dining room steps off Chapel Street. The kitchen charcoal-grills kebabs and mixed grills, bakes stone-oven pides and lahmacun, serves house-made meze dips with hot Turkish bread, and finishes with claypot stews and Ottoman-influenced desserts. The venue brands itself Turkish-first while explicitly celebrating shared Albanian–Turkish culinary heritage on its Albanian and Turkish Ottoman cuisine page.
