About Maha

Shane Delia’s flagship sub-basement fine-dining room on Bond Street in the Melbourne CBD — enter via the glass touch-to-open door with the Maha logo off Flinders Lane. Maha has held One Hat in The Age Good Food Guide annually since 2009, serving unrestricted modern Middle Eastern tasting menus with Mediterranean influences, seasonal produce, and set lunch and dinner formats seven days a week. Dinner is largely set-menu (soufra and group menus; optional upgrades); lunch groups of eight or more must choose a set menu. Private spaces seat up to about 30; the main dining room and bar take walk-ins though reservations are recommended via SevenRooms. Sister venues Maha East and à la carte cocktail bar Jayda sit at 19 Bond Street. Card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge; 12% Sunday and 18% public-holiday surcharges apply.

From diners

  • Loved the vibrant Middle Eastern flavours from the exquisite slow‑roasted lamb shoulder to the cured kingfish tart, whipped hummus and warm house bread with za’atar, every bite was pure comfort and class.
