About Us

Victor Liong’s “good fortune for your mouth” modern Chinese flagship hides down Duckboard Place off Flinders Lane — opened on Smith Street, Collingwood in 2013 and relocated to this CBD laneway in 2015. The name nods to Warren Zevon’s Werewolves of London; the cooking threads Malaysian-Australian childhood memory, Sydney-Chinatown nostalgia and Flower Drum technique through premium Victorian produce. Upstairs seats 52 across large tables; an 18-seat chef’s counter faces the open kitchen. Expect shareable à la carte (Peking duck with traditional pancakes, crispy eggplant in spiced red vinegar, Fujian fried rice with blue swimmer crab and house XO) plus tasting menus (about $180–$195 per person on current official and OpenTable listings), Chinese tea pairings via TeaCraft, and an Australian-focused wine list with Coravin by-the-glass pours. Dinner Monday–Saturday from 5:30pm (OpenTable lists service until 10:30pm); closed Sundays and public holidays. Smart casual dress code; diners 16+ only (no prams or high chairs); stairs only — no wheelchair access. Groups of eight or more must book the tasting menu and incur a 10% service gratuity. Free BYO wine Monday–Wednesday; $80 corkage Thursday–Saturday.
