About Lang Baan

Colourful Thai restaurant on Rose Lane from Surachai Kunchairattana, alongside his CBD venues Pick Prik, Heng, Aung Lo, and Yaowarat (Broadsheet). Lang Baan serves homely classics and regional dishes with more breadth than the siblings: weekday express lunch from a long bain-marie plus cooked-to-order a la carte (The City Lane, Aug 2024). Bright dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, Thai knick-knacks, and shareable plates including red duck curry, crispy pork belly, giant pad kaprao, pad see ew, and skewers. Thaimall and Facebook promote Slurpees and sweet drinks; desserts include Thai milk tea bingsu and slushies (The City Lane). Walk-ins welcome; Mon–Fri 3–5pm break (Thaimall). Facebook page is the primary web presence; Instagram @langbaan.melb for updates.
