Lala's Kitchen was the group's original Bentleigh flagship at Bayside Junction on Nepean Highway — a tucked-in dining room (signage toward the South Road side of the corner block) run by chef Ashvin "Lalabhai" Patel, whose family restaurant roots in Gujarat date to the 1980s. The room traded as a weekday café for breakfast and lunch and shifted to casual dine-in curries, tandoor plates and extensive vegetarian options spanning Punjabi, Gujarati, Kathiyawadi, Rajasthani and South Indian lines; AGFG highlighted weekend unlimited buffet dinners with a rotating menu.
