About Us

Lower-ground Queen Street tonkatsu house (co-owner Charlie) inspired by Tokyo teishoku shops: lean pork tenderloin hire katsu on mesh racks with DIY ground sesame, truffle salt, wasabi, Dijon and house tonkatsu sauce, plus mozzarella pork, chicken, eel, prawn and seafood-mix katsu teishoku sets with miso, rice and pickles. Also nabe (wagyu sukiyaki), carbonara udon, cheese katsu nabe udon, vegan basil soba, karaage and takoyaki; Orion on tap, sake and Earl Grey highballs. Casual walk-in dine-in restaurant with booth and sheltered outdoor table seating for about 70 guests (Restaurant Guru, What's On Melbourne); no online table bookings. QR and phone orders at tables per recent Google reviews on Restaurant Guru. Opened July 2024 (Marvobites). Menu via order-now.app (OSM website:menu) and @katsuhon_au Instagram as primary web channel; no standalone venue domain (Marvobites empty website row, The City Lane n/a). Distinct from Bourke Street KatsuRetsu Co at Midcity Centre.
