Hidden down GPO Postal Lane inside the heritage Bourke Street GPO, Izakaya Domo is a yokocho-style Japanese bar and diner where guests order small plates, skewers and drinks little by little. The official day menu (11am–3pm) lists otsumami such as smoky truffle edamame and fried oysters, donburi and ramen bowls, yakitori from the grill, and sushi and sashimi; beer, nihonshu, shochu and highballs round out the izakaya drinks list. Google Maps lists the Postal Lane shop as OPERATIONAL with active bookings on OpenTable (Jun 2026). This row is the GPO Postal Lane venue only — the group's second CBD site, Izakaya Domo East End at 118 Little Collins Street, is a separate listing.
