About Us

Subterranean contemporary Australian restaurant (also branded Restaurant 226 / Two-Two-Six) in the basement of heritage Invicta House on Flinders Lane — sister venue to Ministry of Crab upstairs, from H&J Restaurants (Harsha Kumarasingha and Jayantha Warnakula). Executive Chef Kerry Lam and Head Chef Haitham Richani run a flame-first kitchen over custom parilla, robata and charcoal fueled by ironbark and red gum, with premium Victorian and national produce (Westholme, Mayura, Abrolhos scallops, Cape Grim beef). The 115-seat room pairs art deco–inspired stone bar and oxblood leather with an open-fire kitchen; Chef's Table, dining room and bar seatings. Walk-ins welcome; SevenRooms for reservations; groups of 8+ on set menu. Google Maps lists the venue as operational (June 2026).
