GRK Greek Kitchen and Bar is a family-run Thornbury High Street taverna opened in 2015 by Nick Evripidou, with cousins Christian and Anastasios Evripidou operating neighbouring Capers next door. The room leans into old Greek cinema — 1960s and 1970s films often play overhead — while the menu stays traditional: shareable dips and olives, saganaki, baked lamb, seafood such as octopus and snapper, and horta (wild greens). Gluten-free and vegetarian options are a recurring guest theme. Dinner service runs Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30pm; reservations are typically by phone. The venue drew national attention in January 2024 when Stefanos Tsitsipas, Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios dined together here during the Australian Open.
