How ratings workAbout Fukutontei Ramen
Fukutontei (福豚亭 — happiness through pork) was a compact Japanese tonkatsu-and-ramen room on Russell Street in the Melbourne CBD, a short walk from Melbourne Central. Dengonnet’s Melbourne Japanese guide lists 276 Russell Street with phone (03) 9650 2382, Sun–Thu 11:00–22:00 and Fri–Sat 11:00–22:30, and recommends the Fukutontei Delux Set ($16.80); Melbourne Culinary’s 2016 visit highlights crunchy tonkatsu, Aso Volcano ramen ($13.80), Charcoal Beef ramen ($15.80), and buta kimchi nabe ($16.80). Quandoo’s archived Russell Street menu still shows tonkatsu sets, gyutan don and kaki fry but states the venue is not bookable online. Google Places marks Fukutontei at 276 Russell Street as permanently closed (Jun 2026); OpenStreetMap shows Naau Cafe now trading at the same ground-floor address while the legacy Fukutontei node remains at the historical coordinates. Dengonnet once linked fukutontei.com.au, but that domain did not respond in Jun 2026 research — the Fukutontei Ramen brand continues at Docklands and Greensborough via separate outlets.
