Chicky Boi is a fried chicken sandwich shop on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, built around a double-dredged crispy chicken fillet served in a soft bun with shredded lettuce, dill pickles, and a choice of sauces including house dill ranch, hot honey, and Nashville buffalo. What began as a Melbourne pop-up operation has settled into a permanent venue with a graffiti-mural exterior and neon-lit interior. The menu is tight and focused: four sandwich builds from the basic through to the spicy Nashville-dipped SpicyBoi, plus chicken strips and a crisp plate. Sandwiches are available in vegetarian and gluten-intolerant versions.
