CDMX is a Mexico City-inspired taquería on Lygon Street in Brunswick East, serving artisanal birria tacos and street-style Mexican dishes. Named after Mexico City's initials, the venue pays homage to the taco culture found on the streets of the Mexican capital. It won the 2023 TimeOut Melbourne 'Best Cheap Eat' award and operates a neon-lit dining room with walk-ins only. The venue also offers catering and private functions for up to 100 guests.
From diners
I tried the lechon taco, filled with charcoal-roasted pork, chicharron, xnipec salsa, and salsa kut. It was filling, though the flavour didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I’ll try other tacos next time, since my friend was saying how good the tacos here are.
