Caterina's Cucina e Bar is a basement dining room off Queen Street in Melbourne CBD, entered through Art Deco gates and known since 1995 for weekday Italian lunch service under chef Marcello Mariani. The room pairs tablecloth formality with marble-topped espresso lunches, regional dishes such as baccalà alla vicentina and vitello tonnato, and a cellar of 500+ Italian, French and Australian wines. The venue reopened in 2024 after a seven-month flood closure and holds two chefs hats in the 2025/26 Australian Good Food Guide.
