Cafe Lalibela is a family-run Ethiopian restaurant on Irving Street that has traded since 1996 and is widely cited as Australia's first Ethiopian restaurant. Communal injera platters carry slow-cooked meat and lentil stews eaten by hand in a casual dining room decorated with African art; the venue also imports Ethiopian beer brands and offers traditional coffee ceremonies on request.
