About Us
Añada is a long-running Spanish restaurant and tapas bar on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, opened in 2008 by Jesse Gerner (Bomba, Park Street) and now part of Castle Group Hospitality. The intimate room focuses on Andalusian peasant fare — tapas, charcuterie, paella and chef's tasting menus — with a wine, sherry and spirits list. Head chef Angel 'Didier' Chavez took the kitchen in late 2025, refreshing seasonal Spanish plates while keeping croquettes, tortilla and chorizo a la sidra on the menu. Weekend lunch runs Saturday and Sunday; daily happy hour, $3 Oyster Tuesdays and set Date Night menus sit alongside BYO Tuesday–Thursday.
