Alasya is a family-run Turkish restaurant on Sydney Road in Brunswick, established in 1978 by Cihan and Cemal, a Cypriot-Turkish couple who named it after the Ottoman word for Cyprus. The kitchen makes everything fresh on site — dips, kebabs, and yemeks — and an attached wood-fired village bakery produces bread daily. Open every day from 10:30am to 1:30am, it positions itself as affordable, old-school home-style Turkish cooking with a relaxed family atmosphere.
